Ok, so I'm still waiting on some jugs from Sharon but they said, perhaps tomorrow she'd have some for me. The reason I want her jugs (*snickers*) is because they're smooth and white (*giggles*).
Seriously though, they're smooth and already dyed white so I don't have to worry about painting them, or the paint chipping.
What I have right now is a milky/clear colored Milk jug, but it's got this odd texture. It has random sort of ridged circles on it and a bumpy area so the eyes don't look really smooth. But they work as a template.
So these are another version of eyes for the Pup, I believe this is the kid I'm going to end up with because they give me the greatest area of sight and is by far the easiest of the methods I've tried. Anyway, these are again just mockups but they'll give you an idea.
The eye on the left looks horribly jacked up because it's only one layer of screening. As opposed to the one on the right which is three layers. Now in the final design the screening will be crisscrossed giving a much better look and make it less likely to see inside the head.

One thing that worries me a bit is that it's so fucking shiny! Think that'll pose a problem? Is there something I can do that you know of to dull it down? I just don't know..
